Welcome to Tokoroa Kart Club

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE - SEE YOU IN THE NEW YEAR

What a fantastic day we had on Saturday for our Christmas Fun Day and Pacific Kartsport NZ Celebrity Challenge. Great weather, great racing, and of course the great enduro race of 25mins where our Rotax drivers were paired with local celebrities to do as many laps as possible in 25 mins with a compulsory 3min pit stop and driver change. Well done the celebrities - great skills were shown by all considering they only had one or two sessions last week to practice.

We hope to see you next year in your own karts - and tell all ya mates to join up too!

Click here for the results of the day, plus the enduro result.

The Club wishes to extend a big thank you to all who supported Kartsport Tokoroa over 2011 - a huge year for us including the now famous Rotax Junior Max Cup (which was part of our Anniversary Meeting where we had 2 huge fields of over 20 karts), a Rotax Challenge round, a Pro Series round, our own successful points series and club champs, and topped off with the Xmas Meeting and Celebrity Challenge.

Thank you again to those below who sponsored us throughout the year -

ARE YOU 40+ AND KEEN ON KARTING?? MASTERS IS FOR YOU...

Rotax Masters (above, green plates) - if you think Kartsport is just for the young ones think again - Masters is the biggest growing class in the country - low maintenance, electric start Rotax engines on a full chassis makes Kartsport for the 40+ age group super fun, super skilled and totally affordable. True, some of the youngies will out pace you but the battles between the Masters in the middle are superb. Get in touch with us now, or call Brad at Pacific Kartsport NZ (021 575 735 or pacifickartsportnz@ihug.co.nz) to find out how you can come racing with the Masters.(Photo Kaycie O'Connor)

CLUB INFO:

Click here for an Excel kart set-up sheet where you can record all your data for each meeting - a great resource to look back at see from past events what works and what doesnt. You can print the second page on the back of the first page so you can record lap times, rpm, temp etc for each race and lap so you see all the data for a meeting on one page. There is also a page to record your base set-ups. Best to go 'save as' when the prompt comes up, save it, then open it in Excel.

The draw for the naming rights for the track for one year was drawn on Sept 11 and congratulations to Eric Bass and family who purchased a ticket - watch this space to find out what our track will be called for the next year.

Lap records (as recorded by the AMB lapscoring system) are here.

Dont forget our new Kartsport Tokoroa sticker draw. With your membership you get 1 sticker. You can purchase extra stickers for $2.50. Every sticker displayed on your kart puts you into the draw to win your next meeting free!

Stage 2 of the new grid/parc ferme development is in the planning stage. Stage 2 is the new large shed to be built beside the holding pen to house the scales/tech rooms/meeting rooms/storage etc. Watch this space!

$50 LUCKY DRAW - Every meeting all drivers and volunteers names goes into a draw for $50. If it is not won on the day, then it jackpots by $50 until it is struck. You need to be present to claim the $50 prize. If the $50 is struck then the next meeting starts again at $50, and will jackpot $50 every meeting until it is struck. Good luck! The draw is open to not just competitors but to officials and helpers on the day as well!
