NOTE: Sorry there is no cafe or tuck shop. However, there will be our famous sausage sizzle at lunchtime [gold coin donation] and a few other items like pies and sandwiches and plenty of drinks and water. We will stop for a small lunchbreak so you can pop into town if you want to.
PRACTICE
Every driver and their pitcrew/family/friends need to register online prior to coming out to practice. This is to adhere to Covid 19 Level 2 protocol and going forward the club can monitor who is at the track and when and also to keep a track on practice fees being paid.
Also - you need to organise a key or entry to the track a few days prior to your practice...don't expect to rock up on the day and expect a key...our committee have lives as well lol. The track is not automatically open.

It is all go for the 2021 McFall Fuel National Schools Championship being held at Kartsport Tokoroa on the 17th July 2021.

What you keen students need to do before your entry can be submitted is to go the Supplementary Rules above and print off the School Declaration and Team Members form. Fill this out and get your Principal or Sports Co-ordinator to sign it to verify to us that you are enrolled at your school. If you are entering a team you can do so on this form as well. Scan this form [.pdf] and then it can be uploaded into the entry form.
Once you have submitted your entry form you need to pay your entry fee the same day to Kartsport Tokoroa bank account no. 01-0461-0121788-00. Non-payment on the same day may invalidate your entry. Use your name and class as a reference.
THAT'S IT! Simple as that.

2021 POINTS SERIES RULES
Held over 3 Club Days
* Must attend 3 out of 3 meetings to be eligible for a trophy
* Every heat counts, no dropped races for the series
* Highest points wins
* Must be a current Kartsport Tokoroa Club Member to obtain points. You can become a club member on the day.
* There is no ability to move up an age group at any time during the series
* Trophies - Cadet, Vortex Mini Rok, Juniors - all get a trophy to keep, Seniors - trophy for 1st 2nd 3rd only.
Gates open at 8.00am,Drivers Briefing 9.30am
Lunch will be a usual sausage sizzle. No cafe sorry.
LOCKS ARE CHANGING.
Please note effective Tuesday 13th April the locks have been changed and your current key will no longer open the track.
If you require a new key please ensure you have renewed your membership due 1st April on the membership tab of our webpage www.kartsporttokoroa.co.nz

Key is $100 yearly (access to the track 1 April 2021 ? 31st March 2022)

TYRES.
A reminder that tyres are NOT to be left at the track or put into the rubbish bins. They cost a lot of money to dispose of.
If you leave tyres at the track you will have your membership revoked immediately and potentially you could be banned from using it forever.
We are not a rubbish transfer station. You must take all rubbish and tyres away with you. You have already agreed to this rule when you accepted the rules as part of your membership renewal.
We will be installing cameras at the complex in the not so distant future and if you are caught dumping your tyres and rubbish at the complex then you will lose your membership.

PRACTICE RULES
Register your practice HERE every time you go to the track. Please sign in using the Govt Covid Tracer app as well and the IDme app - details and QR codes are on display around the complex.
Practice your normal Level 2 Covid requirements -
* don't go to the track if you are unwell
* wash your hands regularly and thoroughly
* sanitise regularly
* keep within your bubble and practice the 2m rule
We again remind you of the requirements in order to practice at our track -
** you need to be a current paid-up member of Kartsport Tokoroa
** your kart, clothing, helmet etc need to be compliant with Kartsport NZ rules and regulations
** You must have a Kartsport NZ competition or practice license
** You either have a key or will sign the indemnity and pay the $20 practice fee.
** you must lock the gate behind you .
No exceptions...if you are caught not abiding by the rules you could be banned from the complex forever.

CONCRETE PIT SITES: - for all new people to the track, the concrete sites are owned by the people that paid for the concrete and will more than likely be there on Club Days to use their site. There could be sites available, we will try and advise what numbers they are before the Club Day. Please don't set up camp on any of the other concrete sites as you will probably be asked to move.

COMPETITIONS LEVY
Please note from 1/1/18 - the new competitions levy comes into effect - $10 from your club day race fee or $30 from your Group A-E meeting fee will be collected on behalf of Kartsport NZ to fund our new Competitions Manager.
Race fees now $50 per competitor, discounted to $45 per additional family member [residing at the same address]. $40 will be withheld by the club, and $10 collected on behalf of Kartsport NZ [per competitor].
CHANGES TO TRACK PRACTICE POLICY, FEE STRUCTURE, KEY POLICY, RACE FEES
Please note the changes that have come about as a result of our Annual General Meeting that was held on Sunday 18th June 2017.
*** You need to be a member of Tokoroa Kart Club Inc in order to practice on the track. This aligns our club with many other clubs in NZ, and also further strenthens our Health and Safety policy in that we can keep tabs on who is using the track and when.
*** New annual club membership fee structure - $50 Junior member, $60 Senior member, $70 Family membership [all residing at the same address]
*** New key policy - $50 per annum for a key for the year or $20 per practice session
*** Confirmed race fees - $50 flat fee for all racers, discounted to $45 for extra family members [residing at the same address].
ATTENTION ALL YOU BUDDING KARTERS OUT THERE WITH KARTSPORT NZ PRACTICE LICENSES...
You are very welcome to come along to any Club Day regardless of it being a points series or club championship. Catch the action, see the format, learn some skills....and....DEFINITELY BRING YOUR KART.
We will open the track over the lunch break and after racing so you can practice what you have been watching. Also, a lot of racing members will be there and will be only too happy to offer technical and racing advice.
If demand is there we can open the track for you at other times during the day if you wish...we are flexible so please don't hesitate to ask for Terry Palmer or Marin Vucich or Russell & Gaye Hoskins or Graeme Lambert or the chick on the gate Sheryl McIntosh in the first instance. We all hang on the concrete opposite the entrance to the grid area.

Yes! The track is basically open 24/7 at Tokoroa - well not quite - but heres what we've got -
*** Open 7 days - 8.30am to 8.30pm in summer, 8.30am to 5.30pm in winter

*** Its only $20.00 for the day
*** You need either a valid competition license, practice license or vintage kart license in order drive on the track.

Click here for an Excel kart set-up sheet where you can record all your data for each meeting - a great resource to look back at see from past events what works and what doesnt. You can print the second page on the back of the first page so you can record lap times, rpm, temp etc for each race and lap so you see all the data for a meeting on one page. There is also a page to record your base set-ups. Best to go 'save as' when the prompt comes up, save it, then open it in Excel.

7 April 2013 - A very sad day today for Kartsport Tokoroa - long time member and supporter, founding member, life member and Patron Glenn Tremain Snr passed away after a battle with an illness. Glenn will be sadly missed by everyone - he was a great of Karting in New Zealand, and a great mentor and supporter of Kartsport Tokoroa, he had a huge input into the club and facility over the years to make it the best karting club and track in the country today.
To Glenn we THANK YOU for all your time, expense and commitment to Kartsport Tokoroa and Karting in New Zealand over the years.
