Event Information
The team at KartSport Tokoroa look forward to welcoming you to Tokoroa for the first round of the 2026 Top Half Series.
PIT SITE ALLOCATIONS
Please see the pit map below (not to scale). If you are associated with one of the teams shown, please liaise directly with your team contact in terms of placement within your allocated area. If you are not associated with a team you are free to setup on a site with in the white boxes shown below (first in first served).
TIMETABLE
Monday – Thursday
Track is CLOSED
Friday
2.00pm – 7pm – Gates are open for trailer drop off. Track is CLOSED for testing.
Saturday
7am – Gates open
9am – 11.00am – Practice sessions 1 & 2
10.00am – 11.30am – Licence checks, confirmation of entry, scrutineering & tyre scanning
11.30am – Drivers Briefing
12.00pm - 5pm – Racing - Heats 1 & 2 (some classes of Heat 3 time permitting)
Prize Giveaways
Sunday
7am – Gates Open
8.30am – Drivers Briefing (if required)
9am – 5pm – Racing – Heats 3, 4 & Finals
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
TRAILER DROP OFF
Trailers may be dropped off to the track on Friday 2.00pm – 7pm
PARKING
There will be no vehicle parking in the pit area. All parking will be to the rear of the facility or where otherwise directed.
CAMPING
If you are camping at the track you will be located at the top of the pit area next to the toilet block or where otherwise directed. Please ensure this form is completed to register your stay https://kartsporttokoroa.fillout.com/camprego
ALCOHOL
Kartsport Tokoroa is a licensed venue and as such all alcohol consumed on site must be purchased on site. It is prohibited to bring your own alcohol to the track. Aside from this it is only fair to support the club that is putting on this event for you please!
DOGS
There are no dogs permitted at the KartSport Tokoroa Top Half Series Round. This is a Club policy. Please do not bring your dog with you.
TYRE DUMP
There is NO tyre dump at KartSport Tokoroa. Please take your tyres home with you.
SATURDAY PRACTICE
There will be 2 x practice sessions Saturday morning from 9am – 11.00am. This will only be available to those competitors entered in the Top Half Series. These practice sessions will be 10 minutes long and will be carried out in the same order as the race order.
TUNING RUNS
There will be NO tuning runs on Saturday or Sunday.
TRANSPONDERS
These must be fitted for your practice sessions on Saturday morning to ensure race control is operational. Please make sure they are charged and fitted.
LICENCES & MEMBERSHIPS
Please check that your license is ‘Green’ prior to the event as no licence renewals nor day licenses can be done on the day.
Please also ensure that you are a current financial member of a Kartsport NZ Affiliated Club.
TECHNICAL INSPECTIONS
Top Half is a Permitted meeting. As such technical inspections can be carried out anywhere within the confines of the facility at any time.
Please ensure that you have read and understood the Kartsport NZ Rules & Regulations.
Don’t forget such items as push back nose cones, no holes in bodywork, maximum widths, greasy clutches, minimum weights, the correct fuel & no tools on the grid etc.
If you have any questions, please ask a Technical Official.
This is also a good time to read the rule book to ensure that you understand it.
OFFICIATING STRUCTURE
Cameras are required to be on all karts in all classes as per KSNZ Rules.
Please familiarise yourself with the officiating structure & procedures, including the Incident Notification System.

PRIZE GIVEAWAYS & PRIZEGIVING
Prizegiving for Round 1 will be held at Round 2 at Kartsport Bay of Plenty after racing on the Saturday.
There will be prizes given away on Saturday at the completion of racing.
You must be in immediate attendance to claim a prize.
Top Half and Kartsport Tokoroa will be putting on a free sausage sizzle Saturday.

Hospitality
Our cafe will be open Saturday and Sunday offering fresh food and drinks along with breakfast each mornings.

You can get your coffee fix at the track Saturday and Sunday.
